Pacers G Price needs surgery, out 4-6 monthsBasketball Betting Lines05/24/2010 - Indianapolis, IN (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Indiana Pacers announced on Monday that guard A.J. Price will need surgery to repair a fractured patella in his left knee, and will miss four to six months. Price suffered the injury in a charity basketball game Saturday night in New York. He will have surgery Tuesday in Indianapolis, where he will also rehabilitate with the Pacers' medical staff. Price injured the same knee two years ago, suffering a torn ACL while playing in an NCAA Tournament game for the University of Connecticut. Price, who was selected by the Pacers with the 52nd overall pick in the second round of the 2009 draft, finished his rookie campaign averaging 7.3 points, 1.9 assists and 1.6 rebounds in 56 games (two starts).

The questions really lie on defense, where it feels like DT Ndamukong Suh is going to be trying to stop opposing teams all by himself. This year should show some marked improvement in the Motor City.
